Looking for a 5 star hotel feel for your own room? Coop Home Goods has two memory foam bamboo pillows, both made in the USA, with removable viscose bamboo covers and filled with shredded memory foam. Both pillows also come with extra foam (and even more can be purchased separately if you need it) allowing you to add or remove memory foam to increase or decrease the profile of the pillow to suit your sleeping position and provide optimal neck and head support. The two versions are the Coop Home Goods Shredded Memory Foam Bamboo Pillow and the Coop Home Goods Eden Gel Infused Shredded Memory Foam Bamboo Pillow.
The biggest difference is that the Eden pillow has gel infused memory foam to help keep the pillow cooler during the night. You can also see in the pictures below that the cover is of a slightly higher quality (they’re both great though!).
Here are some pictures of both pillows:
The cover is made from an ultra-soft Viscose Rayon threading derived from bamboo, and it’s stuffed with shredded memory foam to provide the ultimate level of adjustability and maneuverable support no matter what your personal sleeping style happens to be.
This pillow not only gives you the highly-rated support of shredded memory foam, but it provides the added comfort and cooling properties of bamboo fabric to give you the ultimate full-body sleeping experience.
Opening the boxes, the first thing you see is the extra memory foam for the pillows. You can see a slight difference between the regular pillow and the Eden pillow in the foam: the foam for the Eden pillow has a bluish tint. This is the cooling gel that is infused in the memory foam of the Eden pillow. Further on we have some pictures inside the pillows where you can see the cooling gel up close.
- Adjust the amount of foam in the pillow to your needs
- Certipur-US certification for the memory foam and production process
- Made in the USA
- Breathable cover
- Dust mite resistant
- Machine washable
Overall, the Coop Home Goods bamboo pillow and Coop Home Goods Eden pillow are great pillows. They were our top picks in our bamboo pillow reviews page. The covers are incredibly soft and luxurious, the memory foam is of high quality and comfortable, and we just loved the feel of these pillows. Also, the fact that the amount of foam is easily adjustable, and you can get additional foam if necessary makes them ideal whether you like a high-profile or low-profile pillow.
Adjust the Pillow to Your Sleeping Style
Everybody sleeps different. Some sleep on their back, some sleep on their stomach, some sleep sideways, and some of us sprawl out like contortionists and wonder how and why we sleep the way we do.
Whatever your personal sleeping style is, however, this pillow can fully mold and conform to your body. The full-body pillow can be wrapped around you like a swaddle, can be used like a traditional head pillow, or can be used as the ultimate snuggling pillow for those of you who are looking for something to latch onto while they sleep.
Made in the USA
All of the Coop home goods pillows are made completely in the USA of components that are also made in the USA. They have Certipur-US certifications and Oeko-Tex 100 certifications. These are really high quality manufacturing processes that ensure the pillows are free of chemicals and environmentally friendly.
Also, the pillows from coop home goods are made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates regulated by the CPSC, or CFCs.
Dust Mite Resistant
One of the greatest advantages of using bamboo-derived Viscose Rayon fabric in the cover is that it repels dust mites. For whatever reason, dust mites avoid this fabric like the plague. It’s very similar to the way that cedar wood works to repel moths and other insects.
With a decreased amount of dust mites in your bed, you won’t wake up with those dry eyes, irritated skin, stuffy nose, and other side effects that come as a result of dust mite allergies.
High-Quality Shredded Memory Foam
You may have noticed that this pillow uses what they refer to as “shredded memory foam.” Most memory foam pillows use a solid memory foam core that is cut into an ergonomic pattern. While some people prefer the level of firm support that this style of pillow provides, a bamboo pillow stuffed with shredded memory foam provides a softer sleeping experience and also allows the pillow to have greater flexibility so it can better conform to your body’s natural curvature.
Here are some pictures of the memory foam for both the regular pillow and the Eden pillow:
Pros and Cons
Before we conclude, let’s take a quick moment to review some of the outstanding pros and cons of this product.
- Shredded Memory Foam: Allows the pillow to be more flexible and better conform to your body shape.
- Breathable and Cool: Viscose Rayon fabric used to make the cover is incredibly breathable and keeps you cool all night.
- Machine Washable: Unlike many bamboo pillows, you can throw this right in the washing machine to ensure that it’s always clean.
Some issues we have found with this pillow are that some users did not find the right adaptation of the foam. Although they have tried to fluff it up, it is harder than their preference. This could be due to how tightly it is rolled in the packing. Over time your pillow will fluff up. To help with the shape, you can tumble dry it on low. We have found that those who wait a while to write a review have the higher ratings, as these pillows tend to improve with a bit of age.
We can confidently recommend the Coop Home Goods adjustable bamboo pillows, either the regular version or the Eden version, as two of the best pillows you’ll ever sleep on.
If you’re looking for the ultimate comfort pillow, this is the one.

When I’m not studying up on the latest eco-friendly ways to produce everyday items (particularly using bamboo), you can find me playing trivia at a local bar, or hanging out at the beach.
I love the idea of using an abundant resource like bamboo to make a huge varieties of items we use everyday. Particularly when those are currently being made with plastic, or plants that require pesticides and a huge amount of water to grow.
Hopefully this site will inspire people to think about ways they can improve their sleep, decrease the strain they put on the environment, and generally get better, long-lasting products that are also sustainable and of higher quality than the products they are used to.
